Building Energy Rating
Paddy Murray Auctioneers are registered by the Sustainable Energy Authority Of Ireland, SEAI to carry out all domestic/residential Building Energy Rating, BERs throughout the country.
Since 2009, any property offered for sale or rent must have a BER certificate. A BER is a calculation of the energy performance of a building by a qualified assessor. Always remember a good BER rating could increase the value of your home and increase the return on your rental investment. BER fees start at €100.
Energy Saving Tips.
1. Make sure electrical appliances are turned off rather than being left on standby mode.
Standby mode can use as much as 50% of the electricity as when that appliance is turned on. 2. Use CFL bulbs where possible in your home, they last 10 times longer and use a fraction of the electricity 3. Whenever buying electrical appliances, purchase “A” rated wherever possible. 4.
